Dr. David Tenkorang-Twum

Dr. David Tenkorang-Twum, a Nurse Leader, Chief Nurse advocate and Lecturer of University of Ghana, had his State Registered nursing education at Koforidua Nursing and Midwifery Training College between 1998-2001. Between 2001 and 2004 he worked in Koforidua Regional Hospital Theatre as a staff nurse. Proceeded to Komfo Anokye Nurse Anaesthesia Training College in 2005 and trained as Certified Registered Anaesthethist. In 2009 he was admitted to University of Ghana, Legon and graduated with Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Further, he graduated with Master of Philosophy in Nursing at the same University. He also completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (Ph.D) at The University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg-South Africa and Post-doctoral practical fellowship attachment at the University of Alberta, Edmonton-Canada. He has 24 years of post-qualification experience. He became the Head of Department of Anaesthesia for Seven (7) years before joining the Adult Health Department of School of Nursing and Midwifery, College of Health Sciences-University of Ghana in 2018. He has won a record 4 times Postgraduate Merit Award from University of Witwatersrand and  Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship, becoming a QES Scholar of Universities of Albertha, Canada.

He is a church leader.
