Dr Collins Agyemang Badu

Dr. Collins Agyemang Badu is the Director of the Pan African Doctoral Academy (PADA) at the University of Ghana, where he leads efforts to strengthen doctoral education, research capacity, and academic leadership across Africa. In this role, he provides strategic oversight for training programmes, mentorship initiatives, and collaborative research platforms that prepare the next generation of African scholars to address pressing developmental challenges. Dr. Badu holds a PhD in Psychology and has an academic background that spans teaching, research, and institutional leadership. His expertise covers areas such as higher education management, human development, and the intersection of education, health, and social policy. He has contributed to numerous academic publications and research projects, with a focus on promoting quality doctoral training and creating enabling environments for knowledge production in Africa. Through his leadership at PADA, Dr. Badu has played a pivotal role in expanding partnerships between the University of Ghana and international institutions, building capacity for research excellence, and advancing the global visibility of African scholarship. He is recognised for his commitment to mentoring emerging academics and his vision for a stronger, more impactful research community in Ghana and beyond.
